Montclair area parks offer everything from flower gardens, hiking, bird watching, playgrounds, dog runs and 18 public tennis courts, 3 public swimming pools (Mountainside pool, Nishuane pool and Essex pool), 4 skating rinks (two of which are indoor), and many soccer and baseball fields.

Montclair Farmers’ Market is in its 18th season and attracts 100s of residents, visitors, families and friends on Saturday mornings at the Walnut Street Train Station in Montclair. Fresh produce is often picked within 24 hours and farmers offer both conventional and organic produce, along with local food artisans offering up delicious delicacies such as condiments, pickles, pesto, cheeses and fish.
